Blabbermouth.net and deathbatnews.com have revealed that Avenged Sevenfold will be releasing their Live DVD/CD titled “Live In the LBC & Diamonds In The Rough” on September 9th.

Blabbermouth.net:
The live DVD features the band’s April 10 hometown show at the Long Beach Arena headlining the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, while the CD contains previously unreleased b-sides that were recorded during the making of “Avenged Sevenfold”, plus various covers, and other never-before-heard material. The DVD was directed by Core Entertainment’s Rafa Alcantara, who also worked on the band’s critically acclaimed 2007 road documentary “All Excess”.

Oct. 04 – Mobile, AL – Bayfest
I’m curious as to why A7X thinks their fans want to see them on tour with Buckcherry and other “alternative” and “pop” bands. I am definitely seeing a trend though with Atreyu and Avenged and how mainstream they are trying to becoming, or allowing themselves to become. For example, if you check out Saving Abel’s myspace page, Avenged is tucked nicely between Seether and Daughtry - as in, the American Idol winner. It’s just sad b/c the guys of A7X are just WAY more talented than those other one-trick ponies. Similar to Avenged, Atreyu has gone a little mainstream by going on tour with Linkin Park this summer, an unlikely match for old fans to see them with. I hope that these guys dont get caught up trying to become too big and loose sight of their niche of original fans, and most importantly their level of musicianship in their songs.
Regardless, more dates will be announced soon! Hopefully in the DC/VA/MD area. So stay tuned!
